Hey,

Quick question for the more knowledgeable. I am currently trying to remove two injectors from my 2006 Signum 1.9 CDTi (120). This is to replace the seals only (I hope) as they were leaking. Real peach of a job due to carbon deposits means that I could not get them out without specialist tools. Bought a Bosch (slide hammer) injector puller kit which requires the removal of the injector heads. I could not find a suitable claw adaptor (En-46786) anywhere. The real question is, If I remove the heads then reassemble them to put back, Do they need to be re-calibrated/tested or specially reassembled before they can be put back. Thanks for the input in advance.

The bottom line answer here is NO.

Their is no specific requirements for reassembly but just put them back the EXACT same way they came off and when you start the car have someone at the front with a fire extinguisher (just in case) really when it comes to injectors I would put them into a place that specialises in refurbing them because one mistake and you are putting your car and whoever enters in into immediate danger and the consequences could quite easily be fatal.

However that being said if you are confident and have some motoring knowledge and are sensible enough to take the proper precautions then you can't really go wrong.

As programming goes, unless you are using injectors from another car you will be fine. Even then not all injectors need need to be programmed but the vast majority do (newer cars) as you are only changing the seals you will be good to go.

Good luck! Its a walk in the park once you have done it once.
