iirc your car has been off the road for a while, did you give it the once over before putting it back on the road?

To be honest i cant see a Ball joint undoing itself in a week..... unless something happend to it, but if there was no damage...
Which balljoint are we talking about??
seeing as they are usually locked and pinned to keep them from undoing...

You can get these problems with any cars, Some people say Cavs are built like tanks, some have nothing but trouble with them, same with Astras, same with Escorts and Mondeos too I suppose.

Theres good and bad of everything, luck of the drw mate, **** bad luck. Wouldnt blaime you if you did sell and move on though, I admit it would put me off, get to the point of thinking 'well what next?'

osf ball joint.the pin and bolt arent anywhere to be seen the now cant really see much the now cause its dark. need to get a proper look the moro. the strange thing is i cant remember hitting any pot holes or that. suppose it could of been a dodgy bolt or something.

im sort of in shock cause it wasnt showing any signs of failing. and the other day i was hitting 120mph+ (yes i know im a t.wat) but i wanted to see if it was any better now the new clutch is in. i've calmed down a bit now. so i just need to fix it and give the car the once over. hopefully its not funked anything too expensive.

Well in the light, check the thread on the Bj, if its gone then was a dodgy pin/nut thats stripped the thread off, if the thread's clean and all there then the pin was left out and the nut most likely not done up right...

To be honest for a nut to loosen off once its been tightend as should be is relatively rare...
But as said b happy it wasnt when u were going faster [120 for example ]

is it an easy enough job to replace the ball joint? really need it back on the road asap. the dented wing isnt a major issue. i'll fix that easy enough.
