I have an Omega 2L automatic saloon (8yrs old). I tried to accelerate out of a corner bend when I lost power. The battery warning light came up on the dash, then the car just stopped, no-one behind me thank goodness. Really scarey.
The engine caught again straight away and off I went.
New battery and alternater 3months old.
Not sure I want to drive the car again just incase it happens again.
Has anyone else had a similar problem?
Thanks.

Maybe loose connection somewhere which was activated as you went round the bend. Carry on using the car,you will know what to do next time and maybe you will find out what it is. Check battery connections.Jerry

sounds suspiciously like a dodgy ignition switch or wiring , loose battery wiring shouldn`t make it cut out as the alternator would keep it running , did you notice if any other warning lights came on as it came back to life.
