my keyfob for my r reg 1998 vectra 1.8 gls stopped working ive replayed the battery but it still wont unlock or lock the doors in fact it doesnt do anythink but the lights on the fob are working ive been told i need to get the car security code and use the key can anyone tell me what i need to do once i have got the code from vauxhall

sounds like it might just need re setting to your car,get in and close the door,put the key in the ignition and turn it to position 2 so your ignition lights are on in the car and press the lock button on the remote fob,hopefully your central locking with operate and this means the remote fob is set up to the car again.

yes you was correct bud thank you very much for your help looks like i need to get another fob though ill have to try and find someone in my area who reprogrammes them as i dont fancy paying vauxhall prices
