Hi guys I've just took out my standard cdti player out my vectra and tried to fit an aftermarket one with gps the plugs are the same so I just popped it in but there's no power.
Put the standard unit back in to check if I'd blown anything and that still works am I missing something to my new unit like a new earth or something I've not had the multimeter on it yet
Thought I'd get some more info before I go playing with any wires thanks in advance

Nope because the stock radios use a can-bus signal (or something like that)

Oh right so do I need to put an extra live feed in to the original then if so it'll probably be safer to get an adaptor to hack the wires up wouldn't I.
Do I also need to earth it separately Aswell
Thanks

You can buy the adapters that already have the wire built into them for the live feed.

Is your vectra a pre-face or facelift?
