My handbrake cable is frayed near passenger side wheel.
Can I just replace a section or do I need to do the whole thing?
And does anyone know the part number(s) required for a facelift x18xe1? :Cool2:

Not 100% sure on vectra, should imagine same as cavalier.
If so, replace from shoes up to adjuster, where n/s and o/s cables fit into a 'bridge, and then one cable goes onth handbrake lever.
Halfway along car in the centre, above exhaust.
If not like cav then sorry..... :spam

The cable goes so far back then splits in two to each rear wheel. Just not sure on how much I need to or should be replacing.
Sounds like its the same as cav.
Was hoping someone (who naturally would work at vauxhall) could look up epc and give me a part number. ;)

The 2-part cable running from just under the handbrake to the rear discs is a single assembly. There are two individual much shorter (8") cables linking the main cable into the disc hubs on both sides. I could be wrong but I believe it's the same main cable for cars with rear drums but I could be mistaken.

I found that a replacement cable from a motor factors only lasted about 6 months until it rusted inside and became very stiff.
