Hiyas,
I have a non starting Omega. With the ignition on I get 5000 revs showing on my rev counter (engine not running).
I have discovered that if i remove the electrical connector from the top of the fuel tank, this does not happen.
The car still wont start, But I dont get the funny reading.
Would this suggest a problem with my wiring to the fuel pump?? When I rest the key after an unsucsesful attempt to start, i get a fuel relay "chattering" untiull i turn the ignition off. Anyone help me...Please.

if ya fuel pump under back seat could always change it, only 15 to 20 pound second hand and pretty easy to change, worth a go for £20, why the rev counter goes up no idea, defo some kind of cross wireing somewhere, main thing is to get it running first, might reset rev gauge mate

Ok so its not the fuel pump, I have checked and found that the chattering relay is the fuel injector relay. Its like it contacts , resets and contacts, and resets..very quickly, continuously.
Any ideas about a fuel injector electrical fault anyone??
