Hi All,

Bough this car a few weeks ago and inherited a nightmare without being told.

1. I fear i have the circuit board fault. Symptoms, loss of dials, tacho appears when side lights are on, miles displays when trip counter reset etc. I have had the cluster out, any tips on splitting the circuit board, im ok a soldering, where's the best place to get another instrument cluster if i goose it. OEM priced me up at £500.

2. Speed limits at 60 MPH regardless of rpm and how far i push my foot down, any ideas?

3. Spurious Engine magement light flicker - and some continuous, is this relatedto no 2.

4. Where to get a 2000 manual

Cheers

Shaun

Hi the pcb is very easy to do - and most have no problems re soldering all the contacts - new ones are £164 - don't know where you got £500 from ??
the top speed issue can be sorted by examining all the small bore vacumn hoses under the bonnet they join lots of sensors together and even a perished end can cause 'limp home mode'
however if the eml doesn't reset each time you start the car then it could be a sensor and you would need the codes read to id the broken one
cheers
