I have a problem with my Zafira, the computer is telling me I have a failed brake light when I don't.

I've checked the bulbs and their all OK, is it something else?

Or is the computer getting a false signal? If so where from?

If you have the new zafira, when the ABS is called upon instead of the normal bulb coming on a much brighter one flashes really quickly. Could be that.

Ummm does it say that when the car is first started? A lot of computers give a brake light warning until you press the brake pedel as the system can't check the circuit until the brake pedel is pressed?

It's a 2003, the middle light is also working, even after pressing the pedal to complete the check.

I strongly believe it's the dashboard computer bit, anyone know what it consists of? Where it gets it's signals from etc. etc.??

As it's a 2003 model, is it under warrenty?
Alas no, June 2003, but I do have a 12 month warranty from the garage I bought it from.

There is a list in the documentation of what's included and what isn't. When I know where the inputs go I will be able to find out if I'm covered.

It not a big problem just a pain in the @rse which I would prefer to be sorted.
