F9Q head bolt sequence & torque settings

looking at the lump from the front of the van, the bolts are numbered

back row 8-4-1-5-9
front row 7-3-2-6-10

so you will see they are tightened from the middle working outwards in a clockwise direction. torque settings are 30 Nm or 15 lb ft. then angle tightened 230 degrees . if the lump is out the angle tightening needs 2 people, one to do the tightening the other to hold the lump. you need new bolts and i would advise a new torx socket as a old worn one will slip off as you get the torque up, you will need a 6 inch extension to get over the head and into the bolts as some are deep set.
