So there I am, driving along in my 1998 1.8 LS but there is a queue in front of me, or a red light. So I put the clutch down ready to stop and... the engine stops. I have to restart it again.
To start with I assumed a sump, but then it kept happening. Its been doing it for weeks, sometimes it doesn't do it but other times it will do it every time I put the clutch down.
HELP :shame:

The car seems to be using more petrol too, I don't know if that is related.

Hi, it could be your mass air flow meter, mine had the same problem until it was replaced, I also had the Idle control valve cleaned as well.
