I have a 2010/11 Meriva which was largely unused during my local pandemic lockdown. I ran it a couple of times, but eventually the battery was flat and the engine would not turn over. I had a glovebox charger - an auxilliary power supply that connects to the lighter socket - and tried that for a quick fix... it didn't work. A recovery truck with an external jump starter got me going again, but ever since my driver information display - with the mileage and the warning lights - has been blank. I checked through the manual, and saw a section that basically said "do not, under any circumstances, try to jump start the car from the lighter socket"... which I hadn't seen before. So I guess I did something bad. Any suggestions as to what I might have fried? I'm going to check fuses tomorrow. I don't have a way to check the ECU here.
