Morning all.

I bought a gasket for my dipstick as the old one seemed to be leaking constantly. I put it in the other day and went for a drive today. When I got back home there was oil all over the base of the dipstick.

Did I install it incorrectly? Is there a specific way its fitted on? The base of the dipstick pipe is a diamond shape and I fitted the gasket to make sure it sat perfect with the shape.

Probably worth using a bit of gasket sealer on both sides of the gasket when you install and make sure all surfaces are clean.

Ok cheers mate. I made double sure the surface was clean but I didnt put any sealer. Probably why :up:
