Evening Gents,

Right had a problem last year when i wired up the electric rear windows, and put everything back, i had a problem with the alarm going off all the time. i later found out that a trapped wire was to blame. now though i have come to rewire the alarm (standard cav Vaux alarm btw) and now, when i deadlock the car, the motors keep jumping, as if they are constantly deadlocking and un-deadlocking themselves, causing the battery to do a nasty impression of a pancake.

any ideas what this could be caused by?

i did notice when i had the drivers door card off last (due to the car being broken into :shame: ) that one of the microswitches on the inside of the lock was bust. could this have something to do with it all?

Cav 2.0 16V GLS btw :Cool2:

cheers in advance guys

Hi dude. Yes, your micro switch could well be the problem here. I have a spare you can have.

I'd go for microswitch in the door as well. Replaced mine when alarm was playing up and not been a problem since
