Hi everyone

When I switch on either side lights or headlights, all of the dash displays, including the radio heads up displays dim, so as to become unreadable.
Everything is fine until lights are switched on.
Does anyone have any ideas, I thought that maybe the switch may be faulty in some way.
Could this be related in anyway to an isolated incident that happened a couple of months back, where I stopped the car and when I went to start again the battery had completely dumped all of it's charge, it has since been fine.
any help greatfully appreciated.

Cheers

The displays all dim with the lights switched so as not to dazzle you at night.

There should be a dimmer (if thats the best way to describe it) to adjust how much they dim by.

Not sure if its the same on the astra but on vectra its by the light switch and looks the same as the headlight level adjust.

Hope this helps.
