hey all, I have a astra 1.7 cdti 56 reg having a problem while driving car, it cuts out and goes into safe mode when reaching high speeds, was told it could be the fuel rail high pressure sensor, is there anywhere i can get just the sensor? As can't find online, thankyou

I know this is not quite what your asking but....

Your problem could be lots of things - you can ask the ECU to tell you what it thinks the problem is. Not sure if PedalTrick works for this one but if not, there may be others in your area who can help. Where are you?

If you have had a diagnostic run that indicates low pressure in common rail, this could be the sensor but could also be pump - or filter - especially if your fuel is not coming from a forecourt pump:)

Your cheapest option is probably to speak to a diesel injection specalist or an op-com owner.

Good luck.

pedal test will work on this , press throttle to the floor & press brake then turn ignition on ( do not start it for obvious reasons :) ) the mileage display will then show the letters ecn followed by a 6 digit number , if there are more faults it will go through them in order .

Thankyou all, I had the car fault tested and it was low pressure, got told the fuel rail will need replaced, but I read online it's a common fault with Vauxhall and to try replacing sensor on the rail so i removed the fuel pressure sensor and cleaned it, refitted it and it's worked!
