Hey guys, I've always questioned this but I own a 2008 CORSA D 1.3 cdti and I was wondering do the Corsa D models speedos over read? I've heard that the GPS is supposed to be accurate and the speedo normally overreads by 10% in some cars. Also if there are any Corsa D owners here, does your speedos do the same?

For example my Speedo in my car would read 30, but my sat nav on my phone reads 27. I've tested with other applications aswell and it reads the same.

I think its to do with the gps satellites measuring your speed from so far away by considering how much time you take to cover a certain distance its almost as if its measuring you diving on a flat surface. Having said that I do think the speedo is slightly optimistic for safety reasons but not by 10% I would say maybe by 2 miles or so. (my opinion).

I think my J is around 6% under when comparing it to satnav's or road warning speed signs. Don't mind a bit of extra leeway.
