More confused now...
Did BCM, airbag and IPC resets, in order...
Latest Immobiliser fault codes:
Total number of fault codes: 7
B1000 - Replace Electronic Control Unit (ECU) - EEPROM Failure (36) - Not present
B2699 - Right Low Beam Circuit Open (04) - Not present
B3056 - No Transponder Key Programmed (00) - Present
B3057 - No Security Code Programmed (00) - Present
B3060 - Transponder ID invalid (00) - Not present
B3929 - Wrong Environment Identifier Received SDM (Airbag) (00) - Present
B3977 - Wrong Environment Identifier Received ECM (Engine Control Module) (00) - Present

Turns out neither key can now operate central-locking. So both have somehow become unrecognisable to the car, since being re-programmed half an hour of messing about with codes ago...

Back to square one...

MASSIVE thanks to @andyl - who came online and ran the OP-COM through properly, to get the car fired up and running again...
Can't thank you enough.

And thanks to everyone who's contributed in the thread, for their help, patience and advice...

Thanks too to @Koicarpkeeper for the kit...
Hope I don't have to use it on my daughter's Astra but good to know there's a super-helpful community here, packed with knowledge, if I do...

Now comes the easy part - taking the boy out in his car, for more driving practice!
