I recently purchased a 1998 corsa B which the previous owner had changed the standard vauxhall radio and put in a kenwood CD player. the CD player works fine but when they replaced the radio they cut the wires to the digital clock on the dashboard which displays the time. i have managed to reconnect the live wire (red wire) and the blue wire to the earth so that the clock does power up but every time i switch off the ignition the clock resets itself there are two other solid colour cables one is (black) and the other is (brown)

i have managed to sort the problem i had the permanent live connection the red wire connected to an ignition live and not a permanent connection so the clock powered down completly each time i turned off. i only needed to connect the two wires (red and blue) and the unit works fine.
