Coolant is all brown and looking horrendous.

Can someone tell me where to drain the System from and what I need to do to flush it out.

I believe I need 5ltrs to refill?

If yours is a 1.9 cdti then it's approximately 7 litres & the drain screw is on the radiator or pull off the bottom hose . Flush with clean water . It's obviously not been changed for a long time then by the sounds of it.

Brown probably has a stop leak additive in it or is just old.

Might have what looks like sediment floating too.

Give a flush with clean water (don't use any flush chemicals incase you disturb a leak) and refill with new, should be changed about every 3yr but rarely is on a motor unfortunately.
Plug on side of radiator that just twists if I remember right, gentle if pulling a pipe as tear easy and fit s new clip

In that case you'll need around 5.5 litres .
