Hi Folks!

I am still stuck as to whether or not I can hack off this bit of metal at the bottom edge of an ignition lock barrel from an adjustable steering column to make it fit my fixed steering column? If not I have bought an entirely wrong lock set. Does anyone know? the ignition lock barrels look identical from both model steering columns except for the adjustable on has like a 3/4 " curved bit of metal on the bottom edge, if this is hacked off with trusty junior hacksaw technically it will look identical. Thanks again, also I will be putting up some pics of my new cav for your disapproval, my new (to me) one cost only £40, with 1 months tax + same MOT. I'm on my 5th Cavalier now, how many have everyone else had?

thanks!

Johnny

shouldnt have to hack the metal off. theres a little pokey hole you can press in (make sure the key is in) and pull. barrel will come out.
