09 insignia 2.0 cdti 100,000 miles
EGT not hot enough to regen, no dtc, no leaks. pressure sensor, EGR, turbo all good.
Looking for clues from anyone that has seen same issue. Son recently bought car don't know history. After a few weeks came up with code 55, clouds of white smoke every 10 minutes and fuel gauge dropping like a stone.
Check with elm327, dps soot% 120, pressure sensor 0.17v so mismatched. Hand over exhaust pushed dp pressure to 2v so dpf seems clean.
Could see white smoke and EGT climbing as regen started but EGT could only just get to 500c or so, after 10mins regen failed and restarted.
Cleaned EGR (was not stuck open), lambda and EGT sensor. Checked EGT at ambient up to 100c and resistance looks close to spec. Can't check higher temps but have a used EGT coming to compare.
Turbo boost seems normal, goes to 20psi so I'm guessing not stuck.
Worried about getting to limp mode (guessing 125% soot?) So added temporary resistor to EGT output to read +150 and went for a run. EGT went up to 650c, regen completed and dpf went down to 41% soot. Not a solution, of course, but gives me more time.
Not sure if glowplugs are used in regen but all read low resistance so likely ok.
Opcom coming from Koicarpkeeper but in the meantime any ideas?
