I had to replace the servo on my Zafira.
The two holes at the end of the servo rod (which attach to the brake pedal via a clevis bolt) don't seem to line up exactly so I cannot get the original clevis pin to go through both holes.
The original clevis bolt is 10mm diameter. I tried to put an ordinary M10 bolt through the holes and that went through ok, probably because I could wiggle it around a bit.
There is no wiggle room with the original bolt because it is such a tight fit.
Would it be ok to replace the original clevis pin with one of slightly smaller diameter, say M8, with no adverse effects on the pedal/servo connection?

Well I went ahead and did it with no obvious adverse effects, though I did use a 9.5mm replacement clevis pin /split pin combo.
Amazing that 0.5mm difference in diameter can make such a difference in outcome.
