Same as you did last year apart from an extra £5.

The changes affect post 2001 cars.

As posted by lethal on mig.

Okay, I've picked through the actual budget documents and here's what I've got:
Cars registered post March 1st 2001
Petrol cars producing more than 225g/km CO will pay £210/yr (a new banding)
Cars in Band A emmisions will now be free (Band A <100g/km but this is Honda Insight territory)
Band B (101 to 120g/km) drops from £75 to £45
Band C (121 to 150g/km) drops from £105 to £100
Bands D and E are frozen at their current rate
Band F (185g/km to 225g/km) rises from £165 to £190

Unfortunately, it seems most miggers with post 2001 cars fall into the Band F/£190 category some of them fall into the 225g/km (presumably Band G) category.
Astra Turbos just escape the 225g/km category, however, all V6 Vectras will fall into this category and pay £210

Cars registered pre March 1st 2001
Cars under 1549cc duty is frozen at £110
Cars over 1549cc duty goes up from £170 to £175

Hope that helps clear things up a bit.

LPG will have lower HC & CO (MOT emissions) but just as much CO2.

MOT doesn't measure CO2, as burning gas produces CO2

if you fit a 3.0 engine to a post 2001 V6 Vectra, does the tax drop from £210 to £175?

i think they go off the car as it came from the factory...1.6 with a 3.0 will still be classed as a 1.6...

but the CO2 emissions will be double!!

If you fit an XE to a 1.0 Corsa the tax goes up.
