For secrity reasons I *beleive* the stereo needs to be married up to the display. Tech2 perhaps?
i didnt think this needed to be done?

i have swapped a CD player from a Astra G to another Astra G with no probs, would assume would be the same for corsas?

ar eyou sure they were plugged in correctly?

EDIT: didnt the corsa have a different stereo to the astra, alothough it looked the same was differnt as the astra had steering wheel controls where a the corsa didnt?

Was the stereo from the Astra the same one as the one in the Corsa?

If not, I remember now that some stereo's need a 10 digit display, and others an 8 digit display.

You can change those options on the stereo by turning the Ignition on, then press and hold down buttons 4 & 6 on the stereo, then switch it on keeping 4 & 6 pressed and the display will show "10-digit" which will then toggle to "8-digit" (or vice versa)
