Hey,marks152,Koicarpkeeper,grant19841,someone.
Where are you gone,i just would like to understand
whether part number 9, although all, could be the cause of this problem(some wear or something), even that it wasn't pop-out?Or part number 9 can't be the problem as long as it doesn't pop-out from its place?
May you help me with that small detail.
Thanks.

If the cups on part 9 are worn, or there is wear in any other part of that mechanism it will cause gear change problems.

God bless you,Koicarpkeeper.
I thought you all went on a trip to Europe:)
I am in purpose focus on part 9,since this is the only
part that i can find. The part number of the all unit is:GM:90373387.
and i didn't find it on ebay.Buying the all unit from the factory is way too expensive,
so i am trying to figure out if replacing only the part 9 will solve the issue.
Let say that the only wear in this unit is the cups of part 9,but the cup don't
pop-out yet. From your experience, can this wear only in the cups cause problem to shift to
reverse?
Thanks.

If bar number 9 is still attached, then I would have thought it unlikely to be your problem.
It might be worth looking at the block that pin 14 goes through. From memory (it's a long time since I looked at one of these) the block has a rubber insert that goes soggy with age, which might just be causing your problem.
With the engine off, put the car in third or fourth gear, and get someone to move the gear lever sideways while you watch for movement where there shouldn't be any.
Don't forget, the problem could be under the gear lever, or even internal in the gearbox, look for movement with assistance, as I said above.

Further to my reply above, look at this page. If, and it's a big if, the gearbox is the same as this Corsa gearbox, then if pin 20 is broken it might possibly cause your problem.
Please note that I don't know if this is the same gearbox as your car.

Thanks alot,Alan,for your advice.
You gave me some important points to
consider and check.
Your attached photo looks like the one i added before
and i think that it may be the same as my gearbox according
to the specification, though i need to open it to be sure.
Thanks,again,for your help. :)
