It looks like either a water outlet or water pump but we're not mind readers,
what car and engine it is would be a good start

It's the water outlet and degassing hose (both now modified, see pic for details and part numbers)

Thanks for the help. I’ve just got a new hose with the listed part code however just like the old one it doesn’t seem to sit perfectly and has a bit of movement. It connects to the expansion tank absolutely fine. It’s a plastic piece that attaches to the rubber hose nice and snug and then inserts into the plastic housing, it’s at this point there is a small amount of movement. Even with the metal clip locking it into place there’s a small amount of movement and It seems that when under any sort of pressure the coolant pushes it and it escapes. Am I missing something or is there meant to be an o-ring or seal? That would lock this into place and stop the coolant escaping under pressure?

The degas hose does have an o-ring where it fits to the water outlet but as i said,
both parts are now modified,
i would have changed them both, not just the degas hose
