Hi
Following on from my earlier thread, the car should be going in on wednesday to the BMW specialist to have the v-belt and water pump replaced.

I bought the Omega about 3 weeks ago and is an M Reg 2.5TD with 145 000 on the clock, but is lacking a service history i was aware of this when i bought it and knew it would need some money spending on it.

So my question is, is it worth asking the garage to check the cambelt while the cars in the garage ? As i believe from reading the forum if this goes it can cause serious engine damage. Is it possible to know from just looking at the condition of it whether it'll need replacing soon ?
Apologises if my questions appear a bit basic, my knowledge of the mechanics of cars is very limited.
Thanks again to everyone, your advice is very much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Paul
