Hi, i'm having problems with the brakes on my 2.0l SRI. Just before coming to a halt the brakes judder, which appears to be the ABS kicking in although the car is no where near skdding.

Someone said could be warped discs that is making ABS detect a skid. Bought some new discs and put them on and problem is the same.

After driving for 5 or 10 minutes ABS and traction control light appears on dash and judder then stops and brakes work fine! Once ignition is stopped and started again ABS light goes off and problem is same.

Any help would be much appreciated cos i'm out of ideas and too skint to take it to dealer!!

when your light is on you abs is disabled that's why you have no juddering you brakes are not working fine. check to see if your drive shaft boots are split and covered your abs rings on you drive shafts. if not i suspect you have a abs sensor fault.

Sounds like a cracked ABS ring or sensor breaking down
