This might seem like a stupid question.......... but can my mate fit a dump valve on his Astra 1.7 DTI 16v??

Technically, yes, but I've heard they actually hinder the performance on diesels. Not sure if that's true or not.

I heard that.

IIRC all turbo engines need a dump valve. Just standard fit are designed to be subtle!

I think they all have a wastegate, but the standard ones are closed circuit (or whatever it's called), and therefore don't make noise.

i have a astra sri turbo my waistgate dose make a noise if i take the dump valve off and block the hole. will the 1 off my astra work cuz we were thinking of trying it.
