Hi everyone, recently purchased a r plate astra 1.6 8v, everything was fine for a while but yesterday when i went to it, turned on the ignition and had a warning light, the one with an engine on it, flashing and now the engine turns over but will not fire, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Flashing EML is an immobilser fault...

Dont know any more than that though

Have you dropped the key? The little chip inside it may have fallen out

I get that if I use Jems key to start my P reg. Reason being, she may have a key, but she doesn't have a chipped one..just a £3 duplicate.

She doesn't know it won't start it..heh.

If you have a spare key (I got one with mine), try that..
