Is there a guide anywhere for this of what exactly is involved.
Have search already but couldn't find anything great.

Need to know as changing the bearings.
How are the bearings held or how do they come out.

Thanks in advance

Usually a job for a specialist gearbox repairer , they do more than just change the bearings on these M32 .

Ive done them before on other cars just not on these. some are well capable of supporting on the other mounts.
Have engine and gearbox supported anyway.

There are two main mounts on vauxhalls, one each end, the third in the middle can usually be removed without much trouble.

Ive the casing off
Waiting on bearings to arrive. Looks like they have being changed before.
Casing itself has some scoring from previous time etc.

Best way to take them off is pullers i expect ?
Hopefully they come off easily enough without the use of heat.
Also are the shafts ment to be loose or solid ? not loose but able to move

What else should i look for while i have the casing off.
When reassembling is the anything i should watch for like gears teeths or synchro's, selector etc if that makes sense?

The shafts will move slightly since they are no longer supported by the end bearings in the casing. You will need a puller to get them off never heard of anyone needing to use heat.

Are you just changing the three end bearings I take it?

Especially when the original poster couldn't find a guide to doing this anywhere. Could be very useful for anyone else wanting to extend the life of their M32 before it breaks again.

Ill put up a guide when I'm finished.

Yeah just changing the 3 bearings.
The lower shaft has the worst pitting etc and the top shaft not as bad but still some slight pitting. Other one doesn't have any.
Ordered the SNR bearings.

Still not sure on what oil . 75w80 or 75w90
I know fuchs is recommended

Go for the oil that can operate at the higher temperatures that occur within the M32 box .

Got fuch sintofluid oil
Finding it very tight to get a puller in at the bearings.
Ordered a thin jaw puller which will hopefully will help.
Putting the bearings on ? Any special tool to push them on or the best way ?

Upgraded end case with bearings is a better option but dearer. When I changed my bearing I bought the set of 3 but only changed the bottom one as it's tricky enough to do
