car pass is needed for some parts and don't do an ecu reset unless you have that or you end up with a none moving car loads of postings regarding opcom on here

Car pass is a credit sized card witheengine number key code for stereo ect it has all security on it also I'm sure opcom user site was closed down

 

The opcom user site wasn't closed down, it simply moved servers and now has a new web address.

 

I commented on opcom site as I read on here it was closed down as they are copys my error

 

Can confirm that the OpCom users site is alive and well.

 

Pm a link maybe? I have plugged it into the car but it's saying 'interface communication error' also repeating initializing ecu.....please wait 2 seconds!

Suggest you contact the ebay seller if it won't work.

Please remember you are buying pirated poorly translated software so anything you do with it has no proper back up and could cause lots of problems especially if you don't know what you are doing.

The proper OpCom/ Vauxcom software is around £800

Also the ebay OpCom is limited in what it can do and can cause more conflicts than it resloves, it cannot program in quite a lot of bits either

Having said that as a simple code reader and rest tool/ live data reader its the cheapest easiest thing to use

My advise is if you want something done find someone local who has tech2 and pay them the beer tokens.

Before anyone asks no I will not use my tech2 on any car other than my own.

 

I did say in a post recently that not all OP-Com sellers are as good as others.
I pointed to the seller http://www.op-com.co.uk/ ,from whom I bought working interface & software. Got 'sniffed at' by some who said why buy a more expensive rip-off than a cheaper rip-off. Well I'm happy with my more expensive, working, rip-off
