Chassis number i would of thought. He should only need to know the Car's year, age, or registration, but some outlets do insist on chassis number even here in the UK.

It looks that it is some number for their internal statistic
Seller said me that I can find that number in registration licence (on second page between 2. and 3.)
but i`m not from Germany (not from EU) and in our registr. is nothnig like KBA number
anyway he will send me angel ayes without that KBA number
So problem solved
Butstill mistery stays WHAT IS KBA NUMBER?

Hi, I Googled 'KBA Number', and came up with the following:

"In Germany cars are identified by a so-called KBA-number (Kraftfahrtbundesamt-Nummer). Resellers sometimes optimize their databases for finding parts by this number."

Link: http://www.euronet.nl/~wilaben/kba_codes.htm

Hope this helps!
