urrr..well i just been finishin my stereo and managed to snap off the aerial connector that goes into back of the stereo.... i just got the thick wire with a really tiny bit of copper wire comin from middle of it..
Had the same thing happen to me recently. I gently cut back the wire about 1/2 an inch to expose outer cable and inner plastic core (which contains a single strand of wire). The outer cable needs to be cut back slightly more than the outer cable. I bought a connector from Maplin (£1),
and very carefully joined to the wire. You might need two pairs of hands.
Just be careful you don't break the single strand, because there is not a lot of cable there.
