Hello! New here.
Since lockdown, I’ve gone from driving 40+ miles a day to only short journeys. In the last couple of weeks, when I turn the key, the engine shudders but the car will come on, shudder a bit more, then good to go. Yesterday, car would start for all of 2 seconds then go off. Lights etc were coming on. I eventually got it started after about my 6th try within an hour. I drove it around the area I live for 5 minutes and it was fine. Parked up, left it an hour, went to switch it on and no shudder. I suspect it may be the battery BUT...I’m not an expert haha!
Can anyone help shed some light on this?usps tracking showbox speed test

You could start off by having the battery checked or maybe charge it up yourself, if you've not used your car much. You could check it with a multi meter yourself, prior to starting and diring tick over. If not, take it to a trusted independent garage and they should check it for free for you.
If it's not the battery, starter motor or alternator. Best to have a decent diagnostic check done and go from there.
