Hi, I'm looking for some advice with an auto gearbox. I have a 2011 1.6 N/A Automatic and it doesn't drive at all in any gear. The selector operates fine and selects reverse and drive etc and if you change up the first 3 gears manually you hear the engine sound change so i assume its at least engaging gears? But when you go to drive it just revs as if it's in neutral. I've had the fluid changed and there was tiny metal specs (similar to metallic paint) but nothing more serious and I also had the gearbox speed sensor checked to see if its collected any metal fragments but there was nothing on there either.

I've had diagnostics carried out with opcom aswell and there's no codes at all, only irrelevant ones for parking sensors.

There's also no strange noises from the gearbox whatsoever.

Any help or advice would be highly appreciated.

Have you had an independent gearbox specialist look at it? It's where I'd go if I were having issues with mine outside of any warranty.

I didn't when I made this post, as I was hoping there was some common issues that could be looked at. But it's been booked in now with a quote of 1,400 with exchange of old box. Thank you for your advice.

I'm not 100% it was metal, it looks more like metallic looking specs and you couldn't feel them or anything. But it's booked in to be looked at now. Thank you for the advice.
