Hi all, does anyone have a guide on removing the fuel pump on my 2003 zafira 2.0dti Eng code Y20DTH

The problem basically is that i (my mechanic) replaced the engine complete with pump from a donor car - I dont have the details of the donor car. The error code on the OBD the mechanic used and advice from others suggest two otions 1. reprogram the pump to the car - I am still trying to find someone who can do this so my car can speak to it and disaarm the immobiliser - but this is not proving easy as I live in remotesst Argyll! - and I'm not even sure its possible without the code from the donor car.
or 2. Replace the donor pump with the original pump of the engine i removed from my car!
I've already established it's a pig of a job and I am terrified of messing up the timing but it looks like I have to take the F%$ÂŁing engine out again to do it!
Any recommnedations/ idiot guides/ regarding reprogramming or pump changing gratefully received!

Oh its 2004 a dti engine

So you have two other options rather than remove the pump,
1. find someone with GlobalTis and SPS programme the pump with your cars VIN, this will overwrite the pump software and virginise the pump, you can then use your cars security code to program the pump to your car.
2. Use a diganostic tool called Carprog to read the security code from the pump on the car, then use Opcom to reset the pump using the code you get with Carprog, once thats done you can use the cars own security code to program the pump to your cars immo system.
Only other way is to remove the pump, if you do this i would strongly advise you to get the timing pin kit and lock the engine at the correct TDC position using the tools before removing the pump.
