Have had this bottle for about 6 years - properly stored on it's side, dark & cool (wine rack in 'pantry').

Up 'til now I've not had a major occasion to open it as although I partake of the odd glass here & there, the missus doesn't drink much...and doesn't like Champagne.

'96 was a 'good' year - and as such it's classified as a "will keep / may improve".

('98 review)

Current retail on an 8 year vintage is about £36..this is a 12 year and is now unavailable (except the M&C Dom Perignon rose which is a scary £284 a bottle).

It's not the sort of thing I fancy posting either - so if anybody wants to pick it up (Dundee)...£40...which frankly is a bargain (what it cost me in 2002)...or will swap for a single malt of the same value / something a bit 'special' from the spirits aisle.

Will upload a picture if you need one...can't now as I frazzled the multi card reader.

 just realised that I STILL have this bottle of fizz. Probably open it in a few weeks and see how it's mellowed out...or checked out...
