vivaro 2.5 battery wiring

Just bought myself a 2.5CDTi, very pleased with it. So, I was just going over the vehicle seeing what was needed to tidy it up or replac when I came to look at the battery compartment...WOW! Don't think I've ever seen a battery with so many wires/connections on it! Wondered if anyone could point...
