Got a oil filter and oil today for the corsa d 1.2 only the oil filter has a like plastic washer inside at the top ..
Anyone know if you leave the plastic washer in when fitting the oil filter??...

Finally, that day come...Haldex oil and filter change...I already change rear differential and front transfer box oil- this is final chapter in 4x4 trilogy!
I was really anxious, hearing all that 4x4 malfunctions (mostly do to oil has never been changed- fill for life), and recalls for bad...
With 125.000km I decide to change rear differential oil. Opel(Vauxhall) state that it is "fill for life" (it is also stated for transferbox, Haldex coupling, automatic transmmision AF40, power steering itc.- so you dont need to change anything :confused:....but I will change them all :cool:)...
Does anyone know what the oil capacity is of the auto transmission of an Astra H 1.8 2008? I can't locate any info on it anywhere besides ones site which may indicate it is between 3.5 and 4L.

• Sump Plug Location & Size to remove.
• Turn car on to heat oil slightly for easier removal?

Either way: Simple oil and filter change, nothing too complex. All was fine until I noticed the "25Nm" mark on the filter cap. Should've known, given my physics experience in secondary school, that 25Nm was way too much for...
