    :shame: hi i have a vauxhall corsa 1.2 P reg and i overfilled the oil level supid me and started the car and drove off and it cut out. i have drained some of the oil from the sump so its level with the dip stick. And as i accelerate away theres loads of white smoke from my exhaust could there be a major problem now with the engine ? :(

    Hi giver it a few days and see if it clears up it's probably excess oil burning off the piston oil control rings how ever if it keeps up you will need new rings -- the excess oil would have shattered them -- but we hope they'll settle down after all the excess have burned off

    yes but i can't drive it on the roads the smoke is that bad. Also the oil i used is AGRIFARM 4-STROKE 30 ENGINE OIL HIGH QUALITY SAE 30 MONOGRADE OIL could that be the problem causing the smoke from the exhaust ?

    Do an oil and oil filter change using the correct grade of oil.

    In your case I think it should be 10w-40 pref semi synthetic grade.

    The oil you have put in it sounds like it for a lawn mower :mmmm Where did you get it from?

    my m8 got it from his work it has pictures of trackors on the front lol.
    Also i need a garage to remove the old oil filter its that rusted on

    Drive a big screwdriver through it and heave. It can't be that bad - they're only hand-tightened when they're fitted...

    The car is running sound now i went down to halfords and got the recommended oil for the engine. Drained the sh*t out my mate gave me and put the new halfords oil in then took it for a spin there was white smoke from the exhaust at first but after 15mins it stoped and its running smoothly again just need the oil filter changed at a decent garage rather then me messing about. Thank anyway guys :D
