    what about something like superchips bluefin which you can take on and off the car as required?
    I've had a look on the website but they don't list a unit for vauxhall diesels yet.
    maybe they will in the future or someone else makes a similar product?

    think what your talking about is bluefin
    and remaps take into account the better standard grade of petrol in this country as the standard maps are designed to use a lower standard of fuel as to avoid damaging the engine...
    it depends what the weak link in the car is.. tends to be transmission/clutch related and as somebody else said after the post quoted you dont drive with your foot flat down all the time.
    also turbo'd engines get good power gains like 205bhp that was stated- this highly likely from 150bhp, with the mega its only around 15bhp gains

    I have had a remap on my 1.7 dti with excellent results, more torque, no flat spots and better mpg. As far as I know, the remap cannot be detected without downloading from the ecu and reading it on a computer. Unless they drive it and notice the better performance! Anyway it wasn't a problem for me, as mine is well out of warranty.
