could any one help please. I want to change my starter motor on my zaffy and i have read the haynes manuel which states that there are two bolts . I can get to the front bolt very easy but when I came to remove the other one which is obscured by the unit itself a nut came off and there was alead behind
. I can not get the unit off the engine and it seems that there is still a bolt somewhere.

Can anyone tellme if there are only two bolts and where the nut came from.

Once the bolts nuts are off should the unit just come away.

    Cheers

    Keith, you are soooo close.

The obscured bolt is actually a grounding point for the engine/transmission and the lead is the ground lead. You have removed the nut, which enables the ground lead to be removed, but you must still remove this bolt...

    HTH.
