Hi, my partner had just purchased a 2005 2.0dti Signum. The engine management light is on and it also has moments where it won't accelerate past 3000rpm even with your foot to the floor. When plugged in it just said EGR, which was clogged and has been cleaned but it still lacks power and won't go over 3000rpm. Has anyone had anything similar?

    Many thanks

Just an update on this: still has the same issue. The EGR had been cleaned, it's had a carbon clean and even a new EGR. When it was diagnosed it was suggested to go for a remap which would solve it. However it went to 2 different places and it apprently cannot be remapped. They had the ECU out and it still couldn't be done. Vac pipes have been checked, MAF sensor has been checked but the problem is still there. Occasionally it will come out of limp sometimes for a couple of seconds and other times for a good half an hour. No idea what to do next, is a new plug for the EGR a possible solution?
