    Removing Gear Stick / Knob

How do i remove the centre console trim, in particular the ash tray & cup holder section.

I have managed to remove the top section and replace it with the walnut style trim, but can't seem to work out how to get the bottom section out, without doing damage.

Also have got hold of a walnut gear knob / stick, is it possible to fit the top onto my existing gear stick, or do i need to replace the whole stick, if so any suggestions on how to do this, is it a case of removing the trim surounding the handbrake and gear stick.

Any help appreciated and thanks in advance
