I'm trying to program a key fob so I can remotely unlock/lock the doors on my Astra van which only has an immobiliser. I've got Opcom and when I go into Body>Central Locking>Key Fob Programming I get this message:-

See Checking Procedure Before Programming !

The control unit accepted the remote / keyfob learning request!
Please activate the remote several times in order to complete the learning process!
The control unit can only learn one new remote at a time!
If you wish to add another remote, you must repeat the procedure

My problem is I don't know what the checking procedure is or where I can see it. When I activate the remote several times it doesn't seem to do anything. I've tried the re-sync method also which is in my manual but that doesn't do anything either.

I do apologise as I'm sure this question has been asked before but believe me I cannot find anything after scouring this forum and google that gives me a step by step guide on how to do it.

I am slowly going mad over this issue, please help!
