    Hello
    I own a 2.5 140 Dci Renault trafic

Today I started it up and the reheat light stayed lite
Also I could not select automatic mode I could drive using manual mode but not auto mode
Panic I thought the robotic unit had failed with a big bill for me

Took it to my mechanic and he plugged in his laptop found clutch position was wrong he tried resetting it with the PC but not luck
He then bleed the system with the laptop ( amazing tech these laptops can do )
And ha presto he could reset the clutch position and automatic selection mode now works
Turns out there was air in the system?

Just thought I would pass this fix on in case anyone else has a similar problem

    Thanks

Look like I spoke too soon
Started the van up today cant select automatic mode
Back to the mechanic bleed system all ok
Stopped for a while ,started back cant select automatic again

Its seems like there may be a leak or lack of pressure ?

Is there a pressure test for the robotic unit ? any help appreciated

Just thought I would up date the thread

    Short story
    Two faulty glow plugs

    Long story
Took van back to mechanic checked underneath for leaks small leak on thermostat sensor

    Clutch position fault code def190

Then heater plug fault comes on intermittently

Clears fault for heater plug on laptop which clears clutch position fault

Checked glow plugs two are faulty

Replaced glow plugs and now working again

So the two faulty glow plugs caused an electrical fault on the circuit which disabled the automatic side

I very nearly went for a clutch change to try and fix the problem Lucky I read on the net someone had the same problem and was traced to faulty glow plugs

So if your auto box doesn't work and the preheat / electrical light comes on and you can use manual
    Check your glow plugs first

    Thanks
