    Hi all, astra 'G' 2002,
Pluged into my neighbours car, he changed the engine ecu begining of the year,no problems been running for a while, ignition lock now failed and he changed this aswell- just the male metal key blade and barrel, keeping the original IMMOBILISER chip on the barrel and Chip in the key,so simply replaced just the barrel.

Car cranks fine no probs there.

Pluged in my snap on code reader:
    P1614-immobilizer received wrong signal
    P1612-wrong or no immobilizer signal
    P1613-wrong or no immobilizer signal.

I cleared the codes, but P1614 WILL NOT CLEAR , my diag machine does not have facility to programe any keys, so look forwards to any views.
    Cheers andy

ok,noprobs, resolved last nite, key was the problem,or should i say there was no chip in the metal key blade.
New barrel and key fitted, original immobiliser pickup and swapped chip from original key to new key.
