    Hi alll

Im thinking about getting something a bit more economical then my 1.8 cav as its now over 153,000 miles and starting to suffer from the brown disease and there are more and more things to be done:shame:.

Was wondering what MPG diesel Astra's get. Im aware that there are a few to choose from, also intrested to see if there is much drop in MPG with an estate.

    Cheers in advance.

Go there. Check out the "Tech Data" for the car of your choice. Gives stats for many cars. The site with the mpg stats are pretty accurate for my current ride, my 1st car, my dads car, but it was about 5-8mpg out on my last car, which was a diesel, whereas the others i mentioned, are petrol.

Astra 1.7 diesels are not too bad for fuel, I would recommend going for the more rapid & bullet-proof Isuzu lump in found in the cavs and mk3 astras, I can get 55mpg when driving calmly.
If you're not to worried about speed go for one with the rubbish 1.7 vauxhall low blow which is found in both mk3 and mk4 astras.
